Opening Scene of Reservoir Dogs
I was just 23 when I first saw Reservoir Dogs at a tiny cinema house across from the Pompidou Center in Paris. You could even say it happened "by chance". You see I came on the wrong day. The movie I wanted to see (ironically titled The Music of Chance) was actually showing the next day. Disappointed, I was about to go home when the enthusiastic ticket guy convinced me to see the film anyway.
So the movie starts and I am thinking, "Where did this diner dialogue come from?" Topics included: Madonna's vagina, Tony Wong, K-BILLY, and the egregious tipping habits of gangsters. By the end of the movie I was pretty much convinced that this was the future of cinema.
